Honey Bee Café & Pancake House

Honeybeefan from Justice, il said :I've been to the Honey Bee, and i have to say that MY experience was wonderful. The service was fast, the food was hot, and the environment was perfect. I go to many of breakfast cafe's....as they are my favorite; for the above reasons. The waitresses here were friendly and anticipatory of our table. I have seen many of "working waitresses" get a little annoyed at tables when you take too long, leave a small tip, and drink a gallon of coffee....all the time needing "special" attention. These are working mothers people!!! I'm sure they kicked you out for a reason...and they are probably glad you wont be back!!

Disappointed from lagrange, illinois said :I STILL can't believe the TERRIBLE experience I had there this past weekend. I met a friend there around 8:40am on Sunday, 4/20/08. My friend got there at 8:30am, and when I walked in, I smiled at the owner and he gave me a blank stare. I didn't think anything of it. I sat down and the waitress came over to take our order. If "attitude" is a personality, then she was full of it. After bringing our food, she'd check on us every so often with SUCH a chip on her shoulder. She treated us as if she was angry w/ us for some reason. My friend and I instantly sensed that it was almost personal. It was about 9:40am & the waitress brought our check. Around 9:50am, THE OWNER walked over to us and said, "you've been here long enough. You need to leave". I was SHOCKED. COMPLETELY SHOCKED that THE OWNER said that to us. We were EXTREMELY aware of the fact that it was a Sunday; but there was NOT a line of people, AND there were at least FIVE empty tables surrounding us. We were not being rude or loud, nor were we acting inappropriately. Needless to say, I was and STILL am shocked that we were basically kicked out. I have NEVER EVER EVER been kicked out of ANY establishment, let alone a restaurant. He was so rude to us. It was pretty embarrassing since the table to our right heard what he said & gave us a "look". I didn't know there was a time limit on eating your breakfast at Honey Bee Cafe. There was this little old lady who was dining alone and was already seated once we got there. She was leaving when we got kicked out. Wonder if he kicked her out too. Probably not. I will NEVER go to this place for breakfast again. I will tell EVERYONE I know about my experience w/ this place. It's sad because I JUST moved to LaGrange 1 month ago & I was SO excited to show my friend all the cute places nearby.... Guess I'll be sticking to LaGrange in the future for breakfast!!!!
